Why do they even put these douchebags on TV?
C’mon….what the hell is wrong with Bush?
Published November 14, 2006 Politics , Republican Stupidity 2 CommentsSo now, Bush is saying that the U.S. can hold illegal immigrants indefinitely and without legal counsel as long as they are labeled terrorists or unlawful combatants.
From Yahoo:
In court documents filed with the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., the Justice Department said a new anti-terrorism law being used to hold detainees in Guantanamo Bay also applies to foreigners captured and held in the United States.
The new law says that enemy combatants will be tried before military commissions, not a civilian judge or jury, and establishes different rules of evidence in the cases. It also prohibits detainees from challenging their detention in civilian court.
Does this have anything to do with the “we will bring the war to them” speech Bush gave awhile back? And notice the sentence about being tried before a military commissions? nice. no, you don’t need to see a civilian judge or jury which might have compassion for you.
How far (low?) will the Bush administration go to fight this “war on terror”? He can stop with the scare tactics now that the Republicans have lost the election. The people voted them out because of that.
I thought Republicans were against gay sex…
Published November 12, 2006 Politics , Republican Stupidity , snark Leave a CommentWe all know that they are against unmarried heterosexual people having sex, but I also thought that they were against gay sex as well.
Well, guess again, gentle people. Sean Hannity, he of FOX New Channel “Hannity & Colmes”, has his own website. On said website is a dating service called Hannidate. Well, it seems as if this service allows for men to search for men and women to search for women. And there are some postings for both of those with some responses for men on men. Isn’t that just swell?
Can you say hypocrite. I guess when it comes to making the almighty dollar, even gay-bashing Repupblicans will look the other way.
Did Bush actually say this? WTF?
Published November 12, 2006 Politics , Republican Stupidity 4 CommentsFrom Bush’s radio address yesterday:
One freedom that defines our way of life is the freedom to choose our leaders at the ballot box. We saw that freedom earlier this week, when millions of Americans went to the polls to cast their votes for a new Congress. Whatever your opinion of the outcome, all Americans can take pride in the example our democracy sets for the world by holding elections even in a time of war.
Wow, what does that mean? Was there even the threat of them being cancelled? We should be proud that one of our core democratic principles wasn’t taken away from us in a time of “war”?
Man, he is an idiot.
