Is it just me, or are all the teabaggers crazy (9/13)…

This article explains the teabaggers perfectly.

This is what is wrong with America (9/8)…

Just go and read this post:

Why do they even put these douchebags on TV?

Wow, it has been 8 months (9/7)…

since i last posted. I guess I don’t have as much to say as I thought I did. I started this blog three years ago with the intent to be the new Daily Kos (but from an independent viewpoint) , but it turns out I don’t have it in me to be a political analyst or keep up on all the minutia of the washington, d.c. crowd.

So, I think I will go back to the 2nd reason I started this blog: to journal my struggle with Crohn’s Disease, as well as my very boring (read: VERY BORING) everyday existence.

So much to say and catch up with: my Crohn’s is back, and might be worse than before. No surgery yet, but Humira is in the near future. And I dislocated my shoulder again. Great. And this time it wasn’t anything as interesting as playing baseball with my son: i was leaning back in my chair relaxing and it dislocated. 😦

I am starting class 7 of 12 for my Master’s class. It is “Planetary Science” and is fun so far. It is stuff I used to teach in Earth Science, so it is review pretty much.

We still have that furball Isabelle. She is terrorizing all the other cats in the house, and royally pissing off Stephanie, who wants to turn her into Kitty Tamales.

I will update again tomorrow.

I Might Have to Buy a Pair (12/21)…

The shoes that were thrown at Bush are flying off the shelves. I just hate paying for international shipping.

Obama says “Fuck You” to Democrats (12/17)…

So, who has “The One” chosen to do the invocation at inagural: Rick Warren. The homophobe, xenophobe, bigot, Rick Warren. Enjoy, Democrats. Your Almighty Leader is pushing you under the bus. Gee, who could have seen it coming. Hahahahaha.

Am I a bigot? (11/6)…

I guess I must be a bigot because I don’t get all of the uproar over Prop. 8. Yes, it lost, but so what? I voted NO (actually I voted NO on all of the propositions, except for Measure S), but still the Proposition passed, and now everyone is suing and saying how disgusted they are with California, how the backers are homophobes, etc. The argument they are making on DailyKos and elsewhere, is that they can’t understand how California can vote for Obama, and Yes on 8 at the same time. I get it perfectly. We are not a liberal state. Never have been, never will be. There are pockets of liberalism, but in general, the state is conservative. Just look at this map. It is 2000 and 2004 data, but California is a red state with blues in the major urban areas. I would have been more surprised if 8 had passed.
The one thing that I have always said, is that if THEY want to marry, so be it, just don’t let me hear you or see you. Keep it to yourself. And if you lose an election, you come back in 2 years and try again. That simple.

Random Musings (politics, crohn’s, etc.) (11/5)…

Well, here in CA the very erratic voting populace has spoken. NO on 4, YES on 8. And YES on 1A. Great, more money being wasted.

Too bad about 8. It really shouldn’t have passed. I don’t understand how gays marrying matters. Are they going to ruin our society if they can legally marry?

With 4 going down, abortion lives another year. And the really bad abortion ban bill in SD got defeated also.

My kidney stone is Calcium Oxalate Dihydrate. Cool.
